How It Works
WantToBuyTix is a demand-first ticket marketplace. Buyers name the price they want to pay, sellers sell into real demand, and every deal is protected by escrow: your money is only released after the tickets transfer and you confirm you got them.
Now testing with Atlanta sports and concerts.
For Buyers
Post a buy offer by zone
Pick the event and the zone you want, then name your price. Your offer goes straight to sellers who already have tickets. Prefer to move now? Buy a listing at its set price or place a bid on a live auction instead.
Pay into escrow
Once a seller agrees to your price (or you win an auction), you pay through Stripe. Your money is held safely in escrow, not sent to the seller yet. If the tickets never transfer, you get a full refund.
Seller transfers the tickets
The seller sends the tickets to you on the official transfer system (like Ticketmaster) and uploads their confirmation. We notify you the moment they do.
Confirm receipt
Accept the transfer, check the tickets are in your account, and confirm. Only then is your payment released to the seller. Until you confirm, your money stays protected.
For Sellers
Sell into real demand or list your tickets
Browse live buy offers and sell into one at a price a buyer has already committed to. No guessing a listing price. Prefer to set your own? List your tickets at a fixed price, or run an auction with an optional Buy It Now.
Buyer pays into escrow
Once the price is agreed, the buyer pays and their money is held safely in escrow. You know the funds are locked in before you part with a single ticket.
Transfer and upload proof
Send the tickets on the official system (like Ticketmaster), then upload the confirmation screenshot showing the buyer's name and seats. It is a one-time Stripe setup to receive your payout.
Get paid
After the buyer confirms receipt, we release your payout to your bank through Stripe, usually within 1 to 2 business days. Our fee is 10 percent, taken out of your payout, so you keep 90 percent of the sale.
Direct Deal
Safe closeAlready agreed a price with someone off-platform, maybe in a Facebook group or a group chat? Close it safely here. A Direct Deal drops straight into the same escrow flow, so neither side has to trust the other with money or tickets up front.
